Starr Decoys
Site for friend and well known Carver Gary Starr. Gary carved his first decoy at age 9 under the supervision of his father Dr. George Ross Starr,Jr M.D. the author of "Decoys of the Atlantic Flyway".
Gary grew up in Duxbury Massachusetts surrounded by his fathers love for making decoys and a collection of over 2000 birds. This influence shows throughout his work with a style of clean lines found in the traditional hunting stools.

Vermont Raptor Academy
The web site for the work and carving school of friend and carving great Floyd Scholz. Floyd is top in the world for carving Raptors. He owns a one room school house in the mountain hamlet of Hancock Vermont where my father-in-law graduated from the eighth grade back in 1936.
